A network of GP Practices has been set up across Stafford, Rugeley and the Seisdon area of Staffordshire offering extended opening hours for pre-bookable and same day routine appointments with a healthcare professional (e.g. Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist, GP).
A Guide for Patients
Our aim is to see you within a time frame that is suitable for your condition. We will always endeavour to offer you an appointment with the appropriate member of our Clinical Team. To ensure you get the best from our Clinical Team this may not always be with a clinician of your choice.
Please be aware that our Patient Services Team will ask you to disclose the reason for your appointment. This allows us to signpost you to the right clinician.
We have a large, multi-skilled clinical team who are here to help you.
Selecting the right clinician will ensure you receive the most appropriate clinical care in the shortest possible time.
If this is your first use of the Patient Access system, please take a few moments to read the guidence notes.

Drop-in appointments: are available daily between 8 & 10 am although they are dependent on availability.
For your safety, if we very high numbers of patients attending for blood tests, we may ask you to book an appointment or return on another day. This is to ensure you are given the time you need and for all tests to be completed the required time.
We do make every effort to see you as quickly as possible although we know waiting times can vary depending on the number of patients we see and the individual considerations needed.
These are highly recommended if you are attending for routine or regular blood tests (including INR /rheumatology & long-term conditions). We have pre-bookable morning and afternoon appointments available for your convenience. (This allows people requiring urgent bloods, fasting bloods and those who need to attend before work to access Drop-in appointments.)
Results From Your Blood Test
Please Note: If you wish to know the results please call the Surgery (after 12.30pm, 3 working days after your blood test).
You do not need an appointment with the doctor to get your test results (unless instructed to do so) - the doctor will leave instructions on your medical record to allow the receptionists to give you your results and arrange any follow up required.
Please be assured if we feel your results need immediate attention we will contact you.
We offer telephone consultations with a GP, for follow-up discussions, advice relating to previously seen or existing conditions, medication reviews, discussion of test results, fit notes, possible reactions to medication, certain child ailments, i.e. D&V, eye problems etc. If you feel your problem could be dealt with over the telephone by a GP please request a telephone consultation. You may also be automatically offered one by the Receptionist.
lf appointments are fully booked with the doctor of your choice, you will be offered the first available appointment with another doctor. Patients are free to express a preference to see a particular doctor or nurse and should you wish to express such a preference, please advise Reception and a note will be made in your medical record.
If you anticipate that you may require an examination by the Doctor and feel that you would like a chaperone to be present, please make reception aware at the time of booking your appointment so that this can be arranged. Alternatively bring along a member of your family or friend to your appointment.
If you are unable to attend for your appointment please tell us in good time so that we are able to offer another patient the use of that appointment.

We can offer your appointment to someone else and therefore help to reduce waiting times.
As part of our commitment to all our patients we monitor the efficient use of appointments. If a patient regularly fails to attend a booked appointment, the practice reserves the right to remove them and their family from the practice list.
