Antenatal Care:
The medical staff that will be involved in looking after you when you are pregnant:
- Family Doctors (GPs):
- Family Doctors are responsible for your general care outside hospital.
- Midwifery Team:
The practice has a named midwife attached to the practice who provides both antenatal and postnatal care in liaison with the practice doctors. Antenatal clinics are held weekly on a Thursday afternoon.
Health Visitors:
Our Health Visitor can offer parents advice and family support during the early months and beyond such as child development monitoring.
Obstetricians:
Are hospital based doctors specialising in women's health including pregnancy and childbirth - particularly when there are medical problems or complications.
Antenatal Care:
During your pregnancy you will receive regular antenatal checks, routinely taken place at the surgery unless there are complications or circumstances, which don't enable this to happen. You will be given contact numbers, should you need to speak to the midwife outside these appointments.

Steve and Ann are responsible for effective management of the practice. They are happy to deal with any queries or comments you may have concerning the running of the practice.

Health Care Assistants:
Mary Fox.
Mary supports the clinical team in a range of services such as phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, 24 hour ECG, smoking cessation etc.
Secretary / Admin Staff:
Provide administrative support for the practice, processing hospital referrals, private letters , insurance reports etc. Also, focus on special projects and data entry for the practice.
Reception Staff:
Our receptionists are trained to help and advise you in daily queries, appointments, services etc.
Pharmacist:
Sandra Hawkins.
Sandra manages the dispensing service at Weeping Cross Health Centre.
District Nurses:
The practice works closely with the district nurses to provide nursing care for those patients who are unable to come up to the surgery.
Chiropodist:
Jackie Reed.
Jackie provides a podiatry service on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the practice.
Physiotherapy:
Sharon Jones
Vicky Hope
Jason Curtis
Sharon, Vicky & Jason provide physiotherapy sessions on a Thursday and Friday.
